Darron Gibson has directed an expletive-laden rant at some of his Sunderland teammates in a video which has appeared on social media.
Sunderland have revealed that the former Manchester United and Everton player will face an internal disciplinary investigation over the video which shows the Irish midfielder – who admits to being intoxicated – slamming his teammates while talking to a group of Black Cats fans.
The 29 year old claims in the video that some of his teammates didn’t care about the club, who were relegated from the Premier League under David Moyes last season.
When being accused of being drunk by fans, Gibson said “right, I might be off my face in here but I still want to play for Sunderland. The rest of them f****** don’t though. The rest of them don’t.”
