Cyrus Christie seals deadline day move

Fulham have signed Cyrus Christie on a three year deal.

The Championship club snapped up the Republic of Ireland full back from Middlesbrough late on deadline day for an undisclosed fee.

The 25 year old defender makes the switch to Craven Cottage after just 26 appearances for the Teesiders following his move from Derby County last summer.

Christie has 17 international caps for the boys in green, and has scored twice as an attacking right back.

Fulham director of football Tony Khan expressed his delight at the signing.

“Cyrus is a fantastic young player who brings both an international pedigree and a wealth of Championship experience with him,” he said.

Fulham are currently sixth in the table, just six points off second.

The Cottagers also brought in Newcastle striker Aleksander Mitrovic on loan.
