Republic of Ireland underage international Conor Coventry has signed a new long-term contract at West Ham.
The Guardian reports that the Hammers have tied down the 19-year-old midfielder on a three-and-a-half-year deal amid interest from a number of clubs.
Coventry’s previous deal was set to expire in the summer.
Midfielder Coventry, who is part of Stephen Kenny’s U21 Ireland squad, has made two Carabao Cup appearances for West Ham this season.
The Irish teenager has been at the Premier League club for nine years, and has represented the Boys in Green since U17 level.
Coventry will be hoping to impress new Irons boss David Moyes, who replaced Manuel Pellegrini at London Stadium last week.
He may even be given an early opportunity to impress in West Ham’s FA Cup clash with Gillingham at Priestfield on Sunday evening.
However, according to the report, Coventry will likely be loaned out to a League One club in order to get more senior minutes under his belt.
Should he stay at West Ham for the remainder of the season, Coventry will be competing with the likes of club captain Mark Noble, Declan Rice, Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere for a place in the Hammers’ midfield.

The English club are also pursuing a deal for Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes.
West Ham have also had a £2 million bid for Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Darren Randolph rejected by Championship club Middlesbrough.
Moyes reportedly wants to bring in 32-year-old Randolph – who previously guarded the nets for the Hammers from 2015-2017 – to provide competition for Lukasz Fabianski.
