Ireland drop to 33rd in FIFA rankings

The Republic of Ireland have dropped to 33rd in the FIFA rankings.

The Boys in Green have fallen three places after drawing with Denmark and losing to Wales in the UEFA Nations League.

Northern Ireland have descended six places to 34th, and Scotland are down to 40th.

Wales have climbed up to 18th place, and England are up to fifth after beating Spain 3-2 away in their last Nations League clash.

Belgium occupy the top spot, with World Cup winners France behind them in second.

Brazil are third, and Croatia are fourth ahead of Gareth Southgate’s England.

Germany – whose miserable form has continued – are down to 14th.
