Adam Idah scores four against Borussia Dortmund

Adam Idah has scored four goals against Borussia Dortmund.

The Republic of Ireland teenager ran riot as Norwich’s U23 side hammered the Bundesliga giants 6-0 in a pre-season friendly.

The Cork native opened the scoring with a third minute penalty, and produced a calm finish to double his tally in the 40th minute, extending the Canaries’ lead to 4-0.

Idah scored twice in three minutes in the second half, taking his haul to four.

The 17-year-old is regarded as one of Norwich’s brightest talents, and also starred at international level for Ireland at the U17 Euros earlier this year.

The young striker had scored eight goals during the qualification campaign, and once at the tournament itself as Colin O’Brien’s team made the semi-finals.

At club level, Idah caught the eye with an impressive hat-trick in the FA Youth Cup last season, and also scored for Norwich’s first team earlier this pre-season.

The Irish teenager recently signed his first professional contract with the Championship club, and big things are expected of the 17-year-old.
