Now that the date has been decided, it's time we started pushing and cajoling EVERYONE who will listen, who cares or who can help make Croke Park as Green as a Leprechaun's jacket and as loud as a U2 Concert!!!

With that in mind, I'm using the phrase as which seems to be becoming popular here and with others i've tried it on. (Market testing..don't you know!!Big%20smile)

Call it a Campaign Slogan if you like. Whatever, if people want to do something, NOW IS the time to start preparing.

Finally, for those of you who listen to the radio and hear people being negative/moaning/talking crap about our chances on Nov14/18, dont just sit there and say nothing. TEXT THEM...RING THEM...tell them to cut out the negativity and start being positive for the next 3 weeks.  Tell them to BELIEVE for jaysus sake!! OuchOuchOuchOuch

They can bitch all they want if we go out. DeadDeadDead

But for now, EVERYONE should get behind Ireland. EVERYONE!!

COME ON IRELAND...BELIEVE!!!! It's our time!! Just like Denmark, Greece, Liverpool....it's our time!!

Well said, i think everyone will have to go that extra mile in the build up to our most important game in 8 years to get the message across to as many people as possible!!

All footy phone-in shows would be the best start to get the word out imo, FAI/Carlsberg/Eircom doing full page ads (urging the public to Go Green on Nov 14 - brilliant slogan!!) in some of the top papers leading upto/on the day of the game would be another must!!

I think everyone should tell every match going person you know to make sure they wear green, no away jersies etc!!

Put it on your Facebook, Twitter, Bebo etc to try encourage people!!

Above all: BELIEVE!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. EmbarrassedEmbarrassed

It really IS important to get a slogan that everyone can jump behind - think of the Carlsberg and Guinness campaigns - "carlsberg don't do...but if they did...etc" and the "Believe" campaign

The more we can get it out there, the better. Also, if we can get it out EVERYWHERE...sports, locals, newsprint, TV - EVERYWHERE..enough NEGATIVITY folks!!!

I had a letter done out for the  media outlining what we were looking to do in the COME ON thread.

Keep the message simple and consistent- this is what good companies and political parties do...Wink

Make sure you use any/all of these words if you're chatting on radio - Passion, Belief, Will, desire, Faith, Positivity.......time to get these emotions rocking.....

too much cynicism in Ireland and begrudgery too. Angry

BELIEVE!!!!

Might sound rediculous, but do you think we should contact night clubs around town for that night and ask them to go easy on the dress code? I know that a lot of people don't wear Jerseys to the matches because they want to go out after.

Nightclubs should do 1/2 price entry if you wear green that night, that'd encourage everyone even more!!

is that for sure, where is that rumour coming from ?
If you see a Liverpool Fan on a bike, why should you never swerve to hit him?

It might be your bike...

They can line the pitch the next morning....No need for an early kick off.
FAI will want later kick off as TV rights worth more then.

The GAA president said that they'll have no problem playing the football on the Saturday night and the rugby the next day. Added to the fact that France will be paying top dollar for the TV rights so they'll want an 8pm kick off so it should be an evening kick off but we'll have to wait for the FAI to confirm unless somebody knows different?
