This is an actual package of soldiers you can buy. It is not the German Africa Korps or the British 8th Army but something entirely different!!!!

Review

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. With the phenomenal growth of this hobby over the last few years someone was going to do something a little different, and here it is.

So, what exactly is this set? Well, it portrays 10 soldiers, er, enjoying themselves with ladies to whom we are quite sure they are all happily married. They are indulging in a pastime popular with soldiers through the centuries, though we hesitate to use the word relaxing as some of them are very obviously anything but relaxed. None of the men wear any uniform, but bizarrely most wear some form of headress. This can only be to let us know what sort of soldier they are, but it is entirely inappropriate here and not a little ridiculous. From the hats it is clear these are soldiers from all periods of history - one man even wears a Napoleon-type bicorn, though whether he is meant to be the great man himself is very questionable.

The detail on all these figures is extremely good, and has quite clearly been the subject of considerable attention. The poses are absolutely as natural as you can possibly get, and it must be said that they do look realistic. A great deal of undercutting on these resin figures means that positions can be achieved which are simply impossible with normal plastic figures produced by inflexible steel moulds, and in this set that is important. Unfortunately some of the pieces in our review set were not properly filled in the mould.

To be serious for a moment, these figures are very explicit. None of your suggestive poses here - this is the real thing carefully modelled in 1:72 scale. Not to everyone's taste, and certainly not for the under 18s.

So, now you know why there are no pictures!
