VEC Football Club, Dublin run a web-based ‘last-man-standing’ type of competition based on selecting two teams to win each week in the English Premier League, starting on the 2nd October 2010 (Round 1) through to 4th December 2010 (Round 9).

The only condition is that you cannot select a team that you previously selected. In other words, you can only select a team once in the nine weeks. So, during the course of the competition you will use 18 of the 20 teams in the Premier League, so you need to plan ahead carefully!

If either of the teams that you have selected win, you will be awarded points based on the score etc. Full details at www.pickawinner.ie But - if your teams draw or lose, you will be awarded 0 points.

Selections for each round must be made on-line to www.pickawinner.ie by 12 midnight on the Friday preceding that round of fixtures – Round 1 by midnight on Friday, 1st October.

The entry fee for “Pick-A-Winner 2010” is € 20.70. The fee is payable in advance on-line by credit card.
